Hey!

My name is Bernt Roalkvam, and I have worked as a web designer for 15 years. In that time I have built websites for Nordic companies and startups using different CMSs, and seen first-hand how much the choice of CMS shapes the work of the people who use it every day.

I started State of CMS because there is no open, independent picture of the whole CMS market. Something that developer have had for years. And this year, I feel that more people are on the move than ever, thanks to AI. With the help of the community I hope we can find out which CMSs people actually use, why they leave them, and what they wish worked better, and I want everyone to be able to read the answers.

Full disclosure, I have partnered with several CMS vendors in the past, and I am currently developing Splitleaf. This survey is not sponsored or funded by any CMS, and no vendor has a say in the questions, the answers or how the results are published. The anonymized results from the survey will be freely available on GitHub.
